LONDON (Reuters) - Financial market instability will only impact inflation outlook if it has a substantial effect on businesses and consumers, Bank of England policymaker Andrew Sentance said in an interview with the Sunday Times.
Sentance, regarded as one of the most hawkish of the Bank’s nine policymakers, said it was too soon to judge whether a recent global credit crisis would impact inflation here.
But he said the bank’s view was that global growth still had a lot of pace and policymakers were determined to get inflation back to a 2 percent target.
